Income Tax Rate Changes
Solventum Corp · 2026-08-05 · Importance 53 · Surprise 82 · In source text
The effective tax rate for the second quarter increased to 14.4% from 12.5% in the prior-year quarter, primarily because of an unfavorable geographic mix of earnings. The six-month effective tax rate was 15.0%, compared with a 61.0% tax benefit rate in the prior-year period. The six-month change primarily reflected the non-recurrence of the prior-year tax benefit from the Purification and Filtration divestiture and an unfavorable geographic mix of earnings. Fluctuations in earnings generated by subsidiaries in lower-tax jurisdictions can materially affect Solventum’s estimated annual effective tax rate.
