Mobility Segment Separation

S&P Global Inc. · 2026-04-28 · Importance 75 · Surprise 60

On April 29, 2025, the Board announced pursuit of a full separation of the Mobility segment to create a new publicly traded company named Mobility Global Inc. The separation is intended to be implemented through a tax-free spin-off of shares to S&P Global shareholders for U.S. federal income tax purposes and is expected to be completed mid-2026, subject to customary legal and regulatory approvals. The planned separation is a strategic corporate reorganization that will result in Mobility being a standalone public company and will affect the company’s segment composition and future financial reporting. The transaction timing and completion remain subject to regulatory and customary closing conditions.
