Net cash provided by operating activities increased to $3.117 billion in the first half of 2026 from $2.266 billion in the first half of 2025. The improvement included a $268 million favorable change in working-capital components, compared with a $498 million use in 2025. Distributions from investments increased to $721 million from $516 million. Investing cash use increased to $6.164 billion from $5.563 billion, primarily reflecting $4.687 billion of property, plant and equipment spending and $1.485 billion of investment expenditures.
