ERCOT endorsed more than $7 billion of high-voltage transmission projects to support approximately 16 GW of new Texas electric demand, subject to regulatory approval. The Public Utility Commission of Texas approved ERCOT’s Batch Zero process to standardize and streamline large-load interconnections, although the implementation timeline remains undetermined. In California, the 2025–2026 California ISO Transmission Plan included more than $160 million of reliability-driven projects for SDGE, while SDGE expanded battery energy storage capacity during the second quarter.
