Oncor’s new base rates became effective June 1, 2026, and an approved surcharge took effect August 1 to recover the difference between the new rates and rates applicable from January 1 through June 1. Sempra stated that the updated rates better align Oncor’s cost structure with the current operating environment and support continued infrastructure investment. In California, SDGE and SoCalGas filed their 2028 General Rate Case applications, covering wildfire-risk reduction, electric reliability and resilience, pipeline safety, cost management and customer affordability.
