STERIS plans to invest $600 million in a 600,000-square-foot Formulated Chemistries Center of Excellence near Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. The campus will manufacture and distribute chemistries used by global healthcare and pharmaceutical customers and is expected to create approximately 335 jobs across manufacturing, research and development, distribution, and operations. The facility is expected to become operational in two to three years and will replace chemistry manufacturing and distribution operations in St. Louis, Missouri, and Plymouth, Minnesota. The consolidation is intended to centralize production and distribution within STERIS's AST Chemical Technologies segment.
