STERIS plans to invest $600 million in a 600,000-square-foot Formulated Chemistries Center of Excellence near Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. The campus will support sterilization and disinfection chemicals for global Healthcare and Pharmaceutical customers and is expected to create approximately 335 jobs. Distribution is expected to begin in two to three years, with the facility ultimately replacing operations in St. Louis, Missouri, and Plymouth, Minnesota. The investment is STERIS’s largest single-site project and is intended to consolidate production, research and development, distribution, and operations.
