TPL completed construction and began commissioning its Orla, Texas, Phase 2b produced-water desalination facility, which is designed to reach 10,000 barrels per day. The facility uses a patented freeze desalination process with equipment exclusivity for oil and gas applications from a leading industrial process-cooling provider. The resulting ice and chilled water could support data-center chip cooling, while desalinated water could serve irrigation, industrial cooling, rangeland rehabilitation, streamflow augmentation, and data-center cooling.
