TPL completed construction and began commissioning its Phase 2b produced-water desalination facility in Orla, Texas. The facility is designed to ramp to 10,000 barrels per day and convert produced water into high-spec freshwater for irrigation, industrial cooling, rangeland rehabilitation, streamflow augmentation and data-center cooling. Management said the process could reduce demand for traditional injection and municipal water, support water-positivity or water-neutrality goals, and potentially recover minerals such as lithium from concentrated brine.
