Texas Instruments’ Sherman site, known as SM1, began operations last year and manufactures 300mm wafers for analog and other semiconductor chips used in automobiles, phones and other electronics. One factory is currently operational, with plans for three additional factories at the Sherman campus. Once fully operational, the site is expected to produce more than 100 million chips per day, supporting TI’s long-term manufacturing capacity and AI-infrastructure exposure.
