Manufacturing and Capacity

TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC · 2026-07-24 · Importance 40 · Surprise 42

Texas Instruments owns and operates wafer fabrication and assembly/test facilities across North America, Asia, Japan and Europe, while selectively using foundries and subcontractors. The company is expanding internal capacity, transferring production from external foundries, and preparing cleanroom space for future growth. Its 300mm production costs about 40% less than production on 200mm wafers, and TI expects internal sourcing to increase while maintaining capacity for most production needs.
