Second-quarter sales and marketing expense increased 25% year over year to $1.5 billion, compared with 12% revenue growth. Research and development expense increased 24% to $1.0 billion, including investment in mapping, payment technologies and internal technology infrastructure. General and administrative expense increased 40% to $935 million, while operations and support expense increased 16% to $805 million. Corporate G&A and Platform R&D expense increased 18% to $1.1 billion on a non-GAAP segment basis, reducing the benefit from higher Mobility and Delivery operating income.
