Uber is pursuing an open partner model for autonomous mobility, including collaborations with Wayve, Rivian and Nuro. Uber reportedly wants to deploy 50,000 Rivian R2 electric SUVs for autonomous ride-hailing applications. Lucid is also testing 100 robotaxis with Uber and Nuro.
