Uber, WeRide, and Avomo secured Spain’s first national operating license for Level 4 autonomous passenger vehicles from the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT). The permit allows preparatory work for a commercial robotaxi launch in Madrid. The initiative is the fourth city in the global WeRide-Uber partnership, with planned expansion to 11 additional cities by 2030.
