Same Facility behavioral health income before income taxes increased $35 million, or 9.0%, to $427 million in the second quarter of 2026, lifting the margin to 22.2% from 21.8%. For the first six months, Same Facility pre-tax income rose $63 million, or 8.7%, to $793 million, with margin increasing to 21.2% from 20.9%. All behavioral health pre-tax income increased only $15 million, or 3.8%, in the quarter and $42 million, or 5.7%, year to date because of unfavorable results at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center. Same Facility salaries and benefits grew 6.3% in the quarter and 7.1% year to date, but represented a lower 52.8% and 53.7% of revenue, respectively.
