Vertex agreed to acquire Crinetics Pharmaceuticals for $85 per share in cash, representing approximately $10.0 billion of transaction value, or $8.8 billion net of estimated cash acquired. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory and Crinetics stockholder approvals. Vertex’s CEO highlighted two principal Crinetics assets that are projected to generate more than $5 billion in combined annual revenue.
