Vistra launched Helix Digital Infrastructure with KKR, NVIDIA and the Kuwait Investment Authority. Vistra plans to commit up to $1 billion to the venture, which is designed as a rack-to-grid platform for hyperscale data centers. The partnership combines electricity supply and digital-infrastructure capabilities for data-center customers. Vistra also received approval for its acquisition of Cogentrix Energy, which would add approximately 5.5 gigawatts of generation capacity.
