Verizon entered a multiyear, multi-billion-dollar agreement with Corning covering more than 80 million miles of high-density optical fiber and connectivity solutions from 2027 through 2032. The fiber will support Verizon’s broadband expansion target of 40–50 million passings and its national long-haul network buildout for AI infrastructure. The agreement is also expected to support Corning’s expansion of U.S. manufacturing capacity for specialized Contour Flow Cable.
