Consumer wireless equipment revenue declined 22.2% in the second quarter and 9.1% in the first six months of 2026. The reductions were driven primarily by a strategic decrease in device upgrades, which lowered wireless device volumes by approximately $1.1 billion in the quarter and $1.0 billion year to date. The mix of devices sold shifted toward higher-priced equipment, adding $110 million of revenue in the first six months. The Consumer postpaid connection upgrade rate fell to 2.6% from 3.6%, indicating weaker upgrade activity and lower handset replacement demand.
