Waters sees flow cytometry as an enabling hardware layer for AI-designed antibodies, proteins and genetic constructs because these models require large-scale physical biology testing. The company formed a strategic partnership with IMU Biosciences to support immune profiling and AI-enabled precision medicine applications. The partners are scaling a precision immunology platform for population-wide immune mapping and disease characterization. IMU has raised more than $50 million and is working toward what management described as the world’s largest immune data set.
