WEC is diversifying natural gas supply and storage resources to address peak-day system constraints. The planned LNG facility at the OCPP site will provide two Bcf of storage capacity, while additional proposed Wisconsin facilities could add approximately four Bcf of supply. WEC also uses renewable natural gas from local Wisconsin dairy farms, replacing higher-emission methane that otherwise would enter its distribution pipes. The company currently has contracts in place for 2.1 Bcf of renewable natural gas.
