Williams agreed to acquire Momentum Midstream for up to $5.5 billion, consisting of $3.5 billion in cash and debt plus $2.0 billion in Williams equity. The transaction is expected to add more than 4,000 miles of natural-gas pipelines and expand Williams’ Haynesville and Gulf Coast infrastructure. The strategic rationale is to serve growing Gulf Coast LNG exports, power generation, and industrial demand through expanded gathering and transmission capabilities.
