Walmart’s FY2026 ESG Report stated that the company sourced 50% of its electricity from renewable sources. The report also said Walmart reduced Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 24.6% from the 2015 baseline. Through Project Gigaton, Walmart continues working with suppliers to reduce CO2e emissions and embed decarbonization into its operating model. The 24.6% emissions reduction exceeds the 10% year-over-year inclusion threshold, while the renewable-electricity milestone represents a material transition commitment.
