Supply Chain and Inventory

Walmart Inc. · 2026-08-28 · Importance 23 · Surprise 24

Walmart imports less than one-third of the products it sells in the United States, with most imports sourced from China, Vietnam, Mexico, India and Canada. Supply-chain conditions influenced pricing and merchandising decisions, including higher fuel costs within the supply chain and increased eCommerce shipping and fulfillment costs for Sam’s Club club-fulfilled delivery. Operating cash flow growth was partially offset by the timing of inventory receipts, indicating working-capital timing effects in the period.
