ExxonMobil, Angola’s National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency, and Block 15 partners announced the Vicango Este-01 exploration well oil discovery offshore Angola. The discovery is the 20th in Block 15, a mature deepwater area that has produced more than 2.7 billion barrels over 30 years. The find supports Angola’s efforts to sustain production from mature offshore fields and provides a new exploration signal for the country’s deepwater sector.
