Block expanded Afterpay’s BNPL offering by launching Afterpay Pre-Purchase to general availability. The product lets customers choose between debit and BNPL before each eligible transaction, and BNPL transactions represented 17% of spend on enabled cards as of June. Adoption was particularly strong in everyday categories including groceries, gas, and utilities. Block also continued scaling Afterpay Post-Purchase, its retroactive consumer-funded BNPL solution.
