YUM entered definitive agreements on June 16, 2026 to sell Pizza Hut Ex-China to LongRange Capital and Pizza Hut Mainland China to Yum China Holdings. The transactions are expected to close in August 2026 and should generate approximately $2.3 billion of net proceeds after taxes, closing adjustments, and transaction-contingent fees. YUM may receive an additional $75 million earn-out from LongRange Capital by 2030 and will continue providing Byte by Yum! to Pizza Hut Ex-China. YUM recorded $44 million of strategic-review charges in the quarter and $81 million year to date, and expects approximately $40 million of additional costs during the remainder of 2026.
