Manufacturing And Capacity

TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC · 2026-10-23 · Importance 37 · Surprise 6

TI owns and operates wafer fabrication and assembly/test facilities in North America, Asia, Japan, and Europe, while selectively using foundries and subcontractors. Its 300mm wafer production costs about 40% less per chip than production on 200mm wafers, and the company positions its manufacturing footprint as providing dependable, low-cost capacity and greater supply-chain control. Capacity investments support customer demand, external foundry transfers, and cleanroom availability for future growth; TI expects internal sourcing to increase and to meet the majority of production needs internally. LFAB, which primarily supports Embedded Processing, is continuing to ramp production, and the company expects its factory loadings to increase over time.
